My Health and Wellness Journey: The Power of Mindset

If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that health and wellness aren’t just about what you eat or how much you exercise-it’s about your mindset. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been on this journey. I’ve tried nearly every diet, every plan, every quick fix out there, but it always felt like I was on a never-ending roller coaster. Sound familiar?

This summer, though, something changed. I hit a breaking point. I found myself in a place where I didn’t even recognize the woman I saw in the mirror. I felt disconnected from my life, from my kids, and, honestly, from myself. I didn’t want to go out and see people, I avoided pictures, I never wanted to do the things I loved. That was my wake-up call. I realized I was missing out on precious moments because I was stuck in a cycle of self-doubt and unhappiness.

So, I made a decision, I knew I had to do something drastic to break out of that dark place. That’s when I turned to a program I had completed several times before: 75 Hard. It’s intense, no doubt, but it works for me. I thrive on structure and satisfaction of checking off daily tasks. And as I started to complete those tasks-drinking a gallon of water, sticking to a healthier way of eating, moving my body twice a day every day- I slowly started to feel like myself again.

By the end of the 75 days I had lost about 30 pounds, but more than that, I was starting to gain back my confidence. But as the end was nearing, I was scared, scared that once the program ended, I might fall back into old habits. So, I decided to keep the momentum going. I created a 90 day challenge with a small group of amazing women. We keep each other accountable, support one another, and remind ourselves daily of why we started.

Noe, Im down 47 pounds and feeling better than I have in a long time. But this journey is far from over. One of the biggest things I’ve learned is that mindset is everything. It’s not just about the physical changes-it’s about believing in yourself and staying committed, even on the tough days.

I’m excited to share more about my journey, what’s worked for me and how you, too, can take control of your health-one step at a time.
